We are here to help you

Established 20 years ago - and named after the local oncologist, Dr David Pickering - The Pickering Cancer Drop-In Centre is a warm and friendly space for anyone impacted by cancer. We receive no funding from the NHS and are entirely volunteer-led.

Our support ranges from a simple cup of tea and a biscuit (we always have biscuits!) and a friendly and comforting chat, to the opportunity to benefit from a range of complementary therapies, such as time with a reiki practitioner or the opportunity to join in with an art or craft session. Everything we offer is available completely free of charge.

If your life is affected by cancer in any way and you feel the need to talk and be with caring and friendly people, please drop in. There is no need to make an appointment, just knock on our door, we are here for you.
