We are delighted that local PR and social media expert Angela Ward from Angela Ward Media has joined our board. Polly has known Angela for many years; they initially met when she was providing PR services to a local corporate supporter. At that time, Angela told Polly about Naomi, her daughter who sadly died from cancer at just four years old.
Angela is a familiar face in the Tunbridge Wells corporate community, having written the Kent & Sussex Courier’s business section 20 years ago. She went on to set up the PR department at a local marketing agency and also spent time as PR Manager for ellenor, the hospice charity based in North Kent.
She’s been running Angela Ward Media for seven years now and counts CooperBurnett LLP and Tester & Jones Funeral Services among her clients, while she also provides PR and social media support to the business forum enTWine Tunbridge Wells .
“When Naomi was ill 20 years ago, we received amazing medical care from the NHS but having somewhere like Pickering to go for a chat and some understanding would have been amazing,” says Angela. “The support they provide to patients – and their family and friends – makes a real difference. I am so proud to be part of the Pickering family as a trustee.”
In her spare time, Angela loves cooking and travelling. She recently enjoyed a trip to Seoul with her K-Pop loving daughter.
