The fabulous team at the volunteer-led Tunbridge Wells Repair Cafe has brought the beautiful clock in our Centre back to full working order! Thanks especially to amazing expert Peter Rolling who came to visit us, quickly worked out what was needed and returned with the spare part.
Our colourful clock was created for us many years ago by a class of boys from the school in Charles Street, Southborough. At that time, we were supporting one of their teachers.
A massive ‘thank you’ to Peter and the team at the Tunbridge Wells Repair Cafe! Here he is in the first photo with Sonia and Trish.
Ray, one of our visitors at the Centre, kindly told the Repair Cafe about our poorly clock – thank you to him.
If you’ve got something at home which doesn’t work anymore – a zip which is stuck, some jewellery which needs fixing or a broken toaster – then why not visit the next Tunbridge Wells Repair Cafe at Trinity Theatre? While your item is being looked at, you can enjoy some tea and cake.
There is no charge but a voluntary donation is welcomed, as it helps to cover any costs (such as the spare part our clock needed). All the volunteers give up their time for free.
