Hats off – or should we say ’hair off’ – to John Oakley – as he braved the shave for The Pickering Cancer Drop-In Centre on Wednesday 16 July.
John bravely sat and watched in the mirror, as the lovely Sarah from The Chapel Hairdressers set about shaving off his beloved ginger mop. His biggest fear was that his two young daughters wouldn’t recognise him. Luckily, they did and Daddy was lucky enough to receive big hugs for his efforts.
Even scarier though, Mr Oakley will have to attend Speech Day at the school where he works, sporting his new hair style – you’ve got this John!
John has exceeded his target, raising a whopping £1,310 at the latest count, towards our Key to the Door Fundraising Campaign to celebrate our 21st birthday and help us to move into a new Centre in Tunbridge Wells.
