A group of local comedians are kindly hosting a night of stand-up comedy for The Pickering Cancer Drop-In Centre on Tuesday 9 December 2025 at The Grey Lady on The Pantiles. With ten local comics on the bill, you’re in for brilliant evening of laughter.
Earlier this year, the aspiring comics – keen to give stand-up comedy a go – responded to a post on Facebook and gathered at the St. Johns Yard pub. Under the tutelage of local stand-ups Mike Jubb and his sister Mags, the group, from all over Kent and ranging in age from mid-20s to late-60s, discovered the basics of comedy, and then wrote and rehearsed their shows.
In March, they got on stage at the Grey Lady in Tunbridge Wells for their first public performance. With a wide range of styles, from puns to monologues and covering a range of subjects from dogs to poor shower habits, the night was a roaring success! They’ve since been on stage at The Forum in Tunbridge Wells for another sold-out show.
